Overworked

Hello again. :)
I haven't dropped off the face of the earth ... this has just been one busy week.
First of all my co-worker Dan was on vacation all week and on top of that we have a holiday (Labor Day, Sept. 1) coming up so that meant the phones were going crazy. I was busy all week figuring out the schedule for Labor Day and trying to make everybody happy.
I am so glad Dan's back from vacation starting Monday.
After all this work I get a long weekend - thank god. :) I actually have tomorrow (Sat), Sunday and Monday (Labor Day) off. So that's nice.
We are going to a housewarming party tomorrow. No other plans for the rest of the weekend yet. But either way it will be nice to be home and be able to relax.

And the weekend is already over again. Was a really nice day today, had very nice weather. Warm, breezy, almost fall-like.

We went to New York City, parked our car and walked to Times Square. It was nice walking weather. I love to walk around New York when the weather is nice out. Went to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant Chevy's. Yum. :)
Wish it wasn't Monday tomorrow already again. Oh well. :)

Cuptea1

I am back. :)
I got back late Sunday night. Fighting jetlag now and finally got to unpack my suitcase today. I really hate unpacking, just one of those things I hate to do.
I have the day off today so that's good.
Got some things done (laundry, unpacking, ...) but was also able to relax, have a nice cup of tea and listen to some CDs I bought while I was in Austria.
Was nice to be on vacation but it feels good to be back home with Mike and my favorite cat Ollie. :)

Austria_fl_md_whtMy last day here in Austria. I started packing ... amazing how much stuff you can buy in just one short week. :) I managed to barely close my suitcase.
At least I can sleep in tomorrow. My flight doesn't leave until 3:30 in the afternoon, connecting in Paris and then arriving in New York some time in the evening local time.

I definitely had a nice relaxed week (finished reading two books "The English Breakfast Murder" and "When Lightning Strikes").
But I am also looking forward to seeing Mike again and all my cats, especially Ollie of course. :)
And Monday it's back to work, the one part I don't really look forward to. But oh well ... nothing much I can do. :)

Relaxing

Hello from Austria. :)
I am enjoying my time here, mostly relaxing, being lazy, reading, writing letters, ....
I met up with some friends from school. Was great to see my friend Barbara again. She has a 2 month old baby and it was interesting to see her and her daughter Sophie. It feels like we were both just 12 going to school together. How time flies.
I also got to see some of my other school friends, finally had time to go to the hairdresser today and will do some shopping tomorrow.
Also miss Mike a lot. It's weird not having him around all the time and waking up alone in my bed every morning. At least it's only a week. I will be home on Sunday.
Overall I am having a great time though. It's very nice and relaxing. I definitely needed a week like that. I think I will also gain 10 pounds with all the food I have eaten. :)

Luggage-travel

Packing ... I just hate packing. :)
But at the same time packing means that you get to go on a trip very soon so I guess it's not so bad after all.
I have pretty much everything packed, just can't shake the feeling that I am forgetting something. Just wish I knew what it was. Oh well. :)
Will try and post something while I am in Austria. If I don't get around to it you will hear from me around August 18.

ChineseNothing much new at work. :)
My friend Sharon picked me up after work today and we went to a close by Chinese restaurant. Absolutely love Chinese and haven't been in a while so it was very yummy.
Had Chicken and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce and a Shrimp Spring Roll. Very yummy. :)
After that we went to a close by store for some browsing and when I got home I made myself a nice cup of tea and watched the movie "Notting Hill". One of my favorites, never get sick of it.
Well, one and a half days left at work and then I am finally off to Austria. :)

Chevys_new 

Sunday - my day off. It was nice to have the day off today although the weekends when I work Saturday always seem really short. Oh well. :)

Didn't do much in the morning. Got up late. :) In the afternoon we went to Staten Island in New York City to eat at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants - Chevy's.

They have the best chips and salsa. Had yummy blackened shark fillet. The first time I ever had shark but it was very good. Along with some beans and rice and a huge midori melon margarita. Yum. :)
