Hello from Philly
Just a quick update from Philadelphia. We totally lucked out with the weather this weekend. It's in the mid 80'ies (29C) and sunny. It's weird going from early spring to summer overnight. But hey, I am not complaining. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. In the beginning of the week it's supposed to go back down to more seasonally 60'ies (15C). So for right now I am enjoying the summer dresses and a mini weekend vacation. :)
Got here around 11 and walked over to the Hard Rock Cafe to have lunch. After that we went to see the Galileo exhibit at the Franklin Institute which was really neat. Now at the hotel relaxing a bit and picking out a place for dinner. There is a really neat wine bar not far from the hotel so we might check that out. Tomorrow we are seeing the Cezanne exibit at the Museum of Art at 11. Definitely a nice weekend. And yay for the weather. :)

Weekend Update
And another week has gone by. Seems like the weeks are just flying by but in a way that's good because it means our Dublin trip is getting closer (only about 2 1/2 more weeks to go now). Next weekend we are off to Philadelphia, just a short Sat-Sun 1 night trip but it will still be fun to get away for a tiny bit. Going to see two exhibits that are currently on display in Philly. A Cezanne one at the Museum of Art and a Galileo one at the Franklin Institute. Looking forward to both.
On a different note: I am really ready for spring. It keeps getting warmer and then it gets freezing cold again - it's like a tease. Grrr.
I mean today isn't all that bad but compared to yesterday's almost-summer weather (first time I wore sandals this season) it's chilly. And tomorrow it's supposed to be even colder and raining all day. I am so ready for some nice weather !!!

Catching up over pizza
And already Sunday night again. Time sure flies. Well I hope everyone had a nice Easter. Didn't do anything much today really besides answering some emails, reading, drinking tea and watching some cooking shows. All in all a pretty relaxing day.
Yesterday (Sat) I ended up having to go into work but luckily only till 2 pm so it all worked out. Went down to the city to meet up with my Danish friend Lotte and her sister Carina afterwards. Was great to see her again and catch up. We went to our favorite pizza place Arturo's in the Village which was yummy as always of course. :)
Well, that's about all for today. Tomorrow it's already Monday again and the start of a new week. I am not sure I am ready for another week but not all that much that can be done about it. I will just have to keep counting the days until our trip to Dublin. :) It's only a little more than 3 weeks so that's not so bad I suppose. I guess it will probably be here before we know it.

Is it the weekend yet ?
I am not really a huge fan of Easter but thought I would make a quick post anyway. Still have to work today but that's ok. At least all the schools are on Spring Break now which makes things a lot easier.
No real plans for Easter but tomorrow (Sat) we are meeting up with my Danish friend Lotte in NYC so I am looking forward to that. Will be fun to see her again, have some yummy pizza and catch up.
No real plans for the rest of the weekend. I think Sunday I will just be lazy. This week has been really long so far at work with all the organization for Easter, Spring Break, etc. plus some staffing issues. I am definitely looking forward to doing nothing.

Random Thoughts
Don't really have anything major to say but thought I should update anyway. Here are some random thoughts for all of you:
Over the weekend I finally was able to check off an item on my to-do list that had lingered there for WAY too long. I drink a lot of tea at work and been using those styrofoam cups we have at the restaurant connected to my work place. Well, of course I know those are absolutely terrible for the enviroment and been meaning to buy my own tumbler to use for my tea at work. Well, I finally bought one from Starbucks last week (it's really cool - you can create your own designs for it) and started using it today. Crazy it took me this long but I guess on the bright side it's finally done.
I really want a BMW Mini or a Smart Car. I know, I know ... I would have to acually have to have a need to drive on my own to justify spending the money. But one can dream right ?
I am really happy eating Hungarian Salami with Swiss Cheese on German bread for lunch. Makes my day. :)
