Busy, busy, busy

It's been super crazy at work lately and I honestly don't even know anymore if I am coming or going half the time. Busy_receptionist We moved part of our operations (distribution: drivers, route supervisors, trucks, loading, etc.) to a different location which means having to deal with two different offices. All this happened November 1st and it's just been a lot of craziness since then. Of course it was expected that things wouldn't go smoothly right away but it's hard to deal with the constant stream of issues that come up. One of the offices still doesn't have internet access which means they can't connect to our system, no access to email or scanning any data either. Hopefully that will get set up today finally.

On top of all that I am short handed because one of my employees quit with no notice whatsoever. I know people are entitled to make the decisions they feel they need to make but the timing is wonderful as usual. Oh well.

Thanksgiving is also really just around the corner which means I need to somehow find time to get everything set up and figure out schedules and alternate delivery days for everyone. I know I definitely won't be bored till the end of the year. :)

On a brighter note we just booked a weekend on Cape Cod for December. Will be staying in Chatham in this lovely inn, Dec. 10-12. Can't wait! I also started on some of my Christmas shopping online over the weekend so I can get everything in time to mail out. Was a little easier last year when I was able to deliver a lot of things in person.

Mail update: No letters have gone out. Received letters from/still owe replies to: Lotte/Denmark, Jessica/DE, Jetta/Finland, Alex/Germany and Nina/WA.

It's always have something nice planned to look forward to - especially in hectic times.
